I purchased this 1965 Corvette Sting Ray in 1969. It is a very rare car. In 1965 they only made 771 Fuel Injected Corvettes and this is one of them! The engine is a 327 cubic inch small block. It has a Rochester Fuel Injection unit on it. That made it possible to get 375 horse power out of 327 cubic inches! It has a 4-speed transmission and side exhaust and not many options (no power steering or brakes) as it was made for speed! The car has tan leather interior, side exhaust & Knock-Off wheels (applied by hitting the spinner with a lead hammer) which were an option on this car. In 1965-66-67 they made three greens, all named after race tracks. The original green on this car is "Glen Green", yes, named after Watkins Glen Raceway, which is 4 miles from my home.. The last time this car was registered was 1976. It has sat here for 24 years until 2000 when I started this restoration! Restoration took 4 years! I drive my Corvette on sunny days! p>
